Licensing

Copyright owner/licensor: Yawar B (wayri), for material in which the licensor holds the necessary rights.

The applicable release license is kicad-web-view Source-Available License 1.0, effective 4 November 2026. Identifier: LicenseRef-Kicad-Web-View-Source-Available-1.0. It is a custom source-available license, not an OSI-approved open-source license.

Commercial use requires explicit prior written permission from Yawar B (wayri). Source publication, a free download or free access does not grant commercial rights. Contact support.kivi@sigharmonic.com before starting commercial use.

Advertising- or sponsorship-monetized viewer access Prior written permission required

The complete LICENSE controls; this summary does not replace it. Users retain ownership of their own designs and outputs. That ownership does not waive the permission requirement for commercial use of the Software to create or deliver them. No pricing, exclusivity or commercial agreement is granted by an inquiry or payment alone.

Third-party code and earlier grants

Three.js and fzstd retain their MIT licenses. The license does not relicense the rest of SPIKE or revoke valid earlier grants. Original extraction identities and hashes remain in SOURCE-PROVENANCE.json. The inherited Pocket KiView license is retained as historical evidence, not as an alternative grant for newly licensed material. These release terms do not change the parent Pocket KiView application’s license or retroactively change earlier lawfully supplied copies.

See third-party notices and component notices. A separate written commercial grant can cover only material the licensor owns or is authorized to relicense.

Publication and contributions

Source availability does not itself make a repository public or publish a release. Repository visibility and publication remain separate actions. Do not assume that accepting a pull request transfers copyright or permits alternative commercial licensing. Obtain an explicit written contributor grant before accepting outside contributions intended for alternative licensing; preserve provenance and signed agreements.

Have the custom license and any contributor/commercial agreements reviewed for the relevant jurisdiction before relying on them for a release or commercial transaction. This license does not create automatic legal enforcement, payments or technical license checks.
